Natural disasters in the Philippines – fire, flood, and typhoons – have left entire communities in financial hardship. Living in shanty dwellings, the children in these communities live without the basic necessities we often take for granted – running water, food, educational materials, toys, and play equipment.
Every December, the Good Sams Foundation invites children and families in need, to a Christmas celebration. A much-loved part of the festivities is the Christmas toy giving. The toys are not expensive; $5 is the highest price tag.
Toys are more than just a material possession; they allow children to imagine, daydream, and express their emotions.
