Good Sams assist the needy in many other communities across Australia and the Pacific, including Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers, women subjected to human trafficking and more. They continue to be guided by the calling to be as neighbour to those in need. A program of education grants support Australian students suffering as a result of poverty or disadvantage and assists them to complete their high school education. Currently these grants are offered through partner schools, in collaboration with Good Samaritan Education. Recipient Anna* says;
“The (grant) has provided security for me and my mother… it has taken financial pressure off my family and meant that they can support me in other ways”
